I told my boyfriend of 4 years that his eating habits and lifestyle were the problem. My boyfriend of 4 years and I had a blowout. Over the last 18 months I've lost 157lbs the natural way 💯 diet and exercise. I was nearly 450lbs when I started my health journey. Side note when I started my journey he was not supportive at all. He would get mad with me talking about my diet or going to the gym. He would say I was gearing up to leave him or I was cheating. My boyfriend has always been fit and tall he's 6 foot 5. He turned 30 this past year and took a cakewalk job and sits in a truck all day. He's always had the ability to eat whatever he's wanted until now. Like mountain dew. drive threw every day, and gas station pizza. In the last year he's gained 80lbs easy. The other day standing in front of the mirror on the scale he states that something must be wrong he doesn't understand how he's gained so much weight and it must be my cooking and my fault for making him fat. That I've fattened him up so he won't leave me. I was like whoa! First of all you're an adult I don't force feed you. You are in charge and accountable for your own food choices and your own body. I have done nothing but encourage to take charge of your health like I have so we can both live a long healthy life. He snapped and said O I forgot you are a health expert now!!!! I said No but if his weight truly bothered him and he thought something was wrong he should see the doctor for a check-up. He then proceeded to say I was being smug and walked out of the room saying I was lucky that he didn't treat me like that when I was so big and made me feel bad because he could've said some true things. I wouldn't have liked back then and that I wasn't as skinny now as I think I am. I'm sorry but I wasn't going to lie to him about his food choices or make excuses and I definitely wasn't going to be his scape goat. He's gained a large amount of weight fast and I am worried about him. He's a pack a day smoker and the man who I use to watch run and play with our kids now can't hustle up the driveway without being winded.
