Am I The AssHole at work for snapping on coworker. I 37/38 male who had 15 years experience in the food service industry. Recently at work i was doing Bread for the line and had to get pickles and few other items for the line. When i went back to station a 16/17 year old employee yelled at me to get special order buns for the line. This minor has the role of trainer but is not of shift lead or higher he is regular employee. Just 3 days before he told me to me shut up for no apparent reason and is always giving an attitude. In the past a manager has asked me to try and work with him I have up to now. When minor was barking orders at me I snapped at him and told him to f*** off and that he has no position to tell me what to do for i am aware of the situation and that only managers or supervisors can tell me what to do. If you respect me and i respect you back I will definitely help or whatever is needed. So when i snapped i just wanted to teach this kid a lesson, so instead of giving into my anger i decided to walk away and off the job for 30 minutes and walked back in apologized only to management. Was i wrong for attacking the minor’s fragile ego trip of false power?
