I honestly think that I'm not the asshole here but I also think that I need some advice.

To start with, my friend and I are close and I've never had too many problems with her (we've known each other for 7 years) but recently I've noticed a problem with her, she spends a lot. And on things like stuffed animals, badges etc. And normally I wouldn't care because it's her money, but now she's completely broke and can't even afford a simple trip to a restaurant like McDonald's.

And this is where it all starts because once I was with her in McDonald's and she said that because she didn't have money I SHOULD pay for her (Where in the country where I live the set she bought cost about 40 PLN which isn't cheap at all) I told her that I wouldn't pay with her and the topic ended.

However, recently she started to try to convince me to pay for her because she doesn't have any money (I forgot to mention that she doesn't want to give me any money back because she thinks that as a good friend I should pay). So finally when she texted to me that she would buy another thing right after she gets her pocket money I simply told her that she spends too much and that she doesn't have money for anything. She got mad at me and ignored me saying that she hadn't done anything wrong.

So does anyone know what I could do in this situation? I'm graduating from the school I go to with her in less than a year and I was planning on not keeping in touch with her, but now that I think about it I don't know

So does anyone have any advice or can tell me if I did something wrong?
