My family and I are travelling to a different country where my aunt stays, and then we’re going on a 7-day family trip (her family and my family). I’m going 4–5 days earlier than the rest of my family because I studied in that country and I have friends there, and I want to celebrate my birthday with them. After we come back from the family trip (to the country where my aunt lives), I’m travelling to another nearby country for a solo trip.

Now my aunt is pissed, saying I’m not staying with her. For context, she flies down to my country every year and I do spend time with her. AITA?
