Hi I'm 30 and my husband, Joe is 33. We have 3 kids whom are all active in sports. Joe was invited to go on a vacation with his cousin and he accepted the invite.
Typically, I wouldn't be mad about this but Joe also hasn't worked in over a year due to being on disability for getting hurt at work-which means he's not getting paid a full check. Along with that, we have not been on a vacation just the two of us in over 8 years, so I think its messed up he can plan a trip with his cousin yet can't plan one for us (not like we have the budget for it right now).
With our kids sports, we will be traveling out of state multiple times so you have to account for hotels, travels fees, food, etc. Joes cousin invited him to go across the country for 5 days (he'd have to pay for the plane ticket and food) while there. Joe thinks I'm the asshole because I complained about him going on the trip. He stated "he doesn't get time to himself or get to do things for himself so he wants to go".
Keep in mind, he is home alone for 8 hours a day and can go do things for himself other than go across the country...
At the end of the day, I was sick of arguing so I told him to go and he said he already told his cousin he isn't going. He is now treating me like I'm some satanic b*tch and threatening to divorce me because doesn't get to do things on his own and is "losing himself".
So am I the asshole?
Please wait...
