Recently my parents wanted the house to be repainted so my father paid someone to repaint the house. The painter came and bought his 9-10 year old son along as he couldn't get anyone to babysit him, which is fine as he simply just hangs around and plays his own box of toys. As any boys would he is a bit loud when playing and just runs around the backyard which is not a big deal.
However I got slightly irritated that he took my skateboard and just skate around on his belly without permission, I heard something banging around when I peeped out the window that's when I saw it, I pretended to not acknowledge it because he's just a kid and he's just bored so it's fine. The kid seems to realize he have "gotten away" with it so he continues to use the skateboard whenever he thinks we don't notice him. Every time I leave the house I can see the skateboard is less and less in place, I originally leaned my skateboard against the pillar and now its on the flat on the ground, then later on, when they left its just left in the middle of the porch. It seems that the painter is a single dad and from a poor family trying to make a living for the kid, I originally wanted to gift the kid my skateboard but after seeing his audacity of using it without permission and not even putting it back to the original spot I don't want to give it him anymore.
Now I am feeling a slight guilt because it felt that I was looking down on someone that is not doing well as financially as me AITA?
