So, a while back I (20M) met a girl (let’s call her A, (18F) and we agreed to a friends with benefits kind of situation. Everything was fine at first, but we kept talking daily and got a bit closer emotionally though nothing was ever officially labeled.

I should mention I tend to get attached easily, which I showed A when we first met but if there’s no physical connection for a while, I detach just as fast.

After a while, A started getting kind of clingy. She would constantly call me late at night and get annoyed when I didn’t stay up with her past 11 PM even though I had work early in the morning. More than once she’d hang up on me in anger just because I was falling asleep mid-call.

Fast forward, I met another girl (B). We started vibing, and while I was with her one night, A started spam calling me. She didn’t know I was with someone else. I picked up just to tell her to chill, then muted my phone…and had sex with B.

Later on, I told A what happened (maybe I shouldn’t have, but I wanted to be honest). I didn’t tell her it happened the same night she was spam calling me, just that I had slept with B in general. As expected, she got mad and removed me. I moved on and got into a short situationship with B, and blocked A completely.

But after some time, A called me again from her friend’s phone. She acted like she didn’t care but would hit me up every month or so. Eventually, after my thing with B ended, A and I started talking again. She tried to make me jealous even going as far as kissing an old friend of mine at a party once, but honestly I didn’t care since i had no feelings for her and just kept snapping her like usual.

Then one day, I sent her a goofy kissy-face snap (nothing serious, just joking around), and that’s when she removed me for good probably cuz she finally settled with someone new and moved on from me (finally) at least i think thats the case.

For context: she lived two hours away by car (which I had access to but it was my parents cars and i didnt want to trouble them since they have jobs and errands most of the time), and five hours by train. I had already visited her once and was hoping she’d come to me next after she got her licence but that never happened and she kept making excuses that she wasn’t ready to drive that far (road is 2 hours but its literally a straight line with no turns at all!)

So yeah AITA for how I handled all this?
