📝 AITA for giving my mom a proper funeral?

For context, my mom died in 2021 when I was 16. She never got a proper funeral at all, no service- no nothing, just cremated. It's never sat right with me. A few months ago I started a new job that pays well enough for me to afford a full service & memory plaque to be put into the ground with a small bit of her ashes. When I told my aunt (her younger sister) about my plan she told me I was being disrespectful since it's already been almost 4 years. She told me to just put the ashes in the ground & be done with it. Even after I told her why I was doing it, she told me I wasn't allowed. We then argued about me being 20yo + the fact I think my mother deserves a proper funeral no matter what. I haven't spoken to her since, it's been 3 days.
