📝 AITA for jeopardizing my moms business to report a possible predator?

The title makes this sound more extreme than it is but hear me out:

My mom has a booth at this vintage resale vendor shop, where people can rent booths and make profits from what they sell. Usual products include thrifted clothing, glassware, misc vintage items. Recently, I noticed a new booth that was completely different. It was something with the word ‘waifu’ in it which immediately threw me off.

It had very suggestive prints of many characters, in underwear and bathing suits in lewd poses. This was fine, if you draw that sort of stuff I don’t care, but it just felt out of place.

Fast forward to today where I am walking around the store after hours while my mom rearranges some products in her own booth and I see an addition to the booth— a little comic stand that says something like ‘hey kids! Comics!’. Right next to the basically nsfw fanart. This felt really icky being next to that sort of art. In a store that is very grey and brown with a lot of old products that I don’t think anyone under the age of 12 would be interested in, a colorful stand of anime/cartoon art would easily catch the eye of a child.

The worst part is the instagram linked to the sign on the booth— I scrolled through it, and there’s multiple nsfw images of minors, suggestive and straight pornographic. It’s all in anime style, but that’s still extremely creepy. As a minor, I was disgusted and left a comment of two about the characters ages on an alt account (not super aggressive dw)

I told my mom and she said she would tell the owner of the store, so I sent her screenshots of the insta, google searches with character ages, etc. I asked if the owner was there and I could talk to her, it would be more effective coming from a minor who is grossed out by this, but my mom said that wouldn’t be appropriate.

This is where I might be the asshole: there are little fliers at the front desks and pens, so I wrote a little note “there are nsfw art of minors on your insta. As a minor, that is creepy af. Wtf” and placed it in the booth in a place where a passerby may not see, but someone checking on their booth would. The store opens tomorrow morning, and if the seller doesn’t see it, I assume an employee or customer might see the note and report it. There are security cameras and if my mom also says her daughter noticed it and reports it, it will be obvious i left the note. This could jeopardize my moms relationship with the owners if they don’t see this as an issue because it’s ‘just cartoon art’ or something. I don’t want her to get kicked out, she works extremely hard to run her business there. But, the note being found by others will show the severity of the issue, especially since I indicated that I was a minor who was uncomfortable.

Am I the asshole for placing this note, knowing that it could possibly get my mom kicked out?
