(alt because some friends use reddit) I (28F) have been maried for 4!years now to my husband (28M) and we have 2 kids, 4M and 6F.

Recently me and my husband have been having money issues and have been struggling to keep the kids in line. I am the only one working right now for a low paying job because my husband was recently fired. He says that he is trying to find a job, but has not been looking for any.

The kids have been getting in trouble at school more and agrravating my husband. He is starting to get angry and lay hands on the kids. Sadly, this got too far, and while I was at work he got angry at my son and apparently hit him with a wooden spoon over and over until he was badly hurt. I came home soon after and found my husband on the couch holding an ice pack to my son's bleeding head. I rushed him to the ER, and he is getting stitches. We are barely paying for his procedure.

After we got home, my husband was gone, and I decided that this was it. I quickly packed what was mine, got my kids, and left. When my husband found out, he was frantically contacting me, but I've blocked him. AITA?
