My SO other is the type that needs to overpractice for things. Took them to the RMV where they will be taking the road test so they could get acclimated to the surrounding area. Saw a road test in progress so we decided to follow and observe so that SO can get an idea of what they will have to do on the road test. After the road test was done we parked and the examiner came to our car and started berated us. Said we shouldn't follow them because it's unsafe, it made the test taker uncomfortable, and was not fair to practice on test routes. Honestly I don't think we did anything wrong, certainly didn't break any rules. Nothing stopping other test takers from getting this so called unfair advantage.
