Hi Reddit, I'm in kind of a difficult situation about me (F) and my friend group from college.
Everyone in the story is 20 now (Apr/2025). But the beef started when we were 18.
Let's get started: in college, my friend group was formed around a club we all liked. We were pretty close-ish, we partied and studied together sometimes, everything a group of friends does.
The problem, I feel, started when most of us went on a small vacation at the end of the school year.
The principal people in the story are a girl, let's call her Kiara, and me (Zara). Kiara had a place for about 6 girls and invited 6 girls from the group (except me). Then a mutual friend asked Kiara if I could be invited (let's call this friend who backed me up Olivia).
Finally, I got invited. The reason for her not inviting me in the first place was that she didn’t like me that much and was very skeptical about me (“lol”).
After the trip, Kiara decided that she didn’t want to be my friend anymore and told the rest of the group to ignore me and start leaving me out of everything.
Yet she never told me she had a problem with me and acted so friendly to my face, so how could I know (??)
At the start of second year, I was being left out, and Olivia told Kiara that what she was doing was wrong, that if she had a problem with me, she should speak to me directly and that it wasn’t a good idea to break the group.
Because Kiara decided she didn’t want to be my friend, she made everyone take sides: mine or hers (¿?) (PSA: we are in college).

As Olivia told Kiara that her actions were childish and wrong, Kiara left Olivia out of the group too.

In the middle of 2nd year, the girls who had stopped hanging out with me because of what Kiara told them (she said very crappy stuff about me and was just hating on me) realized I wasn’t as bad as Kiara had painted me.
They started hanging out with me again, and we became friends once more.

From my pov, everyone was acting strange, but I told myself I was crazy and that the world didn’t revolve around me.
So, I just tried to survive and pass my classes.
In the meantime, I made an amazing friend (Sara), we are literally called almost the same haha.
So, I was just being myself, and the people who had left me out were being my friends again. I was happy that I was likeable and told myself I had been crazy.

At the beginning of 3rd year of college, Olivia finally told me that Kiara made everyone take sides, and that was the reason why everyone acted strange or cold around me.

I haven’t talked with Kiara directly about this because I don’t feel like I should start a discussion — I didn’t have a problem with her.
But idk.

So Reddit, please help. I can answer questions about everything.
I tried to be pretty neutral in the storytelling (plus, my first language isn’t English).
