I (33F) invited my cousin (55F) to my wedding abroad. She has two daughters (18 & 19) who I am not particularly close with, but she asked if they could also come and I said yes. She has also asked if her boyfriend of 6 months could come. She is recently divorced and I was happy to invite him also. But NOW, I am being pressured to also invite my cousins daughters bf (19) - as they have been together for 3 years.

I have never met the boyfriend and have already extended the invite to my cousins kids and her new boyfriend.

My auntie (82F) is also getting involved now. She told me she couldn’t make it herself and could this boyfriend take her place. I said no. My other cousin recently got pregnant, so can no longer come. After finding this out, my auntie calls me again, asking if this boyfriend can come now.

The fact is I do not know him. And my cousins daughter is already the plus 1! Am I the asshole for not wanting to invite him?

They’re trying to make me feel bad saying they’re going on a group family holiday for the wedding, and if he’s not at the wedding it will make things awkward for them?!
