My roommate wants to get a pet, but I’m allergic and not comfortable with animals in the apartment. I’ve told them a few times that I’m not okay with it, but they’ve kept pushing. They’re now mad at me for “restricting their freedom” and saying I’m being unreasonable. Am I being an asshole for not agreeing to them having a pet in our shared space? What would a reasonable solution be?
