I 26F grew up with unavailable parents, I was left to take care of my 2 siblings. I met my now fiance 3 years ago and he is not happy that I feel obligated to taking care of my 13F sibling.

I make sure my young sister have pocket money every week, she stays with mom but mom never really cares about those things, she works but always broke for some reason.

My fiance says I'm making my young sister's life very easy and its not a good thing. Saying I should let her work for her pocket money and I recently paid for her school trip. He says I shouldnt have paid for the trip,I should have given her a choice between pocket money to school or paying for her trip.

Maybe I'm missing something, can any parents help with their thoughts on this.
