Hey, I’m using a throwaway account because I don’t want my friends on my main one to see this. I’m 20 (F), and my boyfriend is also 20 (M). We’ve been together for about two years, and things have been pretty normal—no major arguments. Both of us have busy schedules. I’m in college and work nearly every day, so weekends are really the only time we get to spend together.
So, yesterday, I ordered dinner and we sat down, talked a bit, and started setting the table. I was venting about something frustrating at work, and he started joking around about it. I, joking back, tossed the lid of a soda bottle at him, and it hit him in the face. He got super upset and said I don’t respect him. I tried apologizing, but he just got up and left
I texted him again to apologize, and he just replied, “okay, I’m going to sleep.” I said goodnight and told him, “see you tomorrow if you want to,” but he didn’t respond. Now, the next day, I saw he went fishing (not totally sure, but I know because we share our locations).
Am I in the wrong? We have these small arguments sometimes where he gets upset and lashes out, then apologizes later. But I don’t know, I feel like I’m losing my mind thinking I’m the one at fault when I don’t feel like I did anything wrong.
