📝 AITA for "treating my friend like that"?

My husband(M39) and I(F29) used to be friends with David(M38) and Tara(F39).

Tara is like an older sister to me. She is the person I go to when I need advice.

David used to be like a brother to me. He was very supportive.

One day Tara called me crying. It's very unlike her to cry. She sent me a screenshot of David's texts in a groupchat. Apparently he didn't know one of Tara's friends is in that group.

He was saying things like Tara won't take a hint and leave him alone and how she is too ugly for his taste and he is tired of her trying to flirt with him.

Tara is not even interested in David. All this time she assumed they are good friends, even best friends. She was devastated when she saw the texts.

A few days ago we went to a party. My husband had to leave earlier and asked me if I'd like to stay and get a ride from one of our friends and I said yes.

Tara didn't come because she didn't want to see David but David was there. When I was about to leave he told me to wait for him to go grab his keys so we can leave. I told him I'm not coming and he asked why? I said I don't want to make you think I'm trying to flirt with you or something because apparently any woman who comes anywhere near you must be into you right?

He rolled his eyes and said that he knows what I'm talking about but he was just joking. I told him it wasn't a funny joke and I won't talk to him again unless he apologizes to Tara AND Tara tells us that she has forgiven him.

He told me to get into the car because he won't leave me alone there because I was slightly drunk and I told him to go fuck himself.

He called me an ungrateful bitch and said that he has been supporting me and treating me like a sister and I "dare" treat him like this and taking Tara's side.

I ended up going home with another one of our friends and we haven't talked since then.
