my (23m) situationship/talking stage (25F) feels smothered by me, I met her a couple weeks ago and it started off really strong, we hung out at my house, talked a lot planned a date for the following week and the date went well but a week following the date she’s been a little cold I asked her what was wrong and she felt I was love bombing her a little bit because I bought her & her daughter a gift (bought her flowers & a stuffed animal for her daughter) but I think she feels that way because of how much I try to be in contact with her, I very much enjoy talking to her but I get I can be too much sometimes I want to tone it down before it’s too late, she has reassured me that she still likes me It just feels like I’m bombarding her and it’s getting on her nerves. I get that I can come off a bit love bomby, I just get excited and gifts are my love language.
