I (17M) am highly insulted by what my brother (19M) has pulled in the last couple years. He has been obsessed with his girlfriend and completely shut down the rest of our family since he has gone to college. His grades have slipped as results and it is just a shitshow. He’s now trying to get MARRIED??? (My mom just told me that now. My parents were married in their mid 30s this wasn’t how we were raised). Recently, he has abandoned watching our dog as we are on vacation (im a senior in high school, I took a small vacation with our parents spring break, he also takes one during his. We house sit when we’re not on vacation - it’s just not practical to do vacations the four of us). Anyways, he is leaving our house tommorow (whatever) to be off with his girlfriend, therefore forsaking the time to see our mother. I don’t care what he does to me, but I will not have him crush our mother’s excitement of seeing him for the first time since Christmas. I feel like this rant doesn’t encapsulate everything I’m feeling so please ask any clarification questions if needed. I want to text him a long message saying how pissed off I am at him - and he can only contact me if it’s to apologize.

Am I the asshole? I’m not trying to be a bad person, so if yall say im the asshole I’ll just leave this whole thing alone. Just wanted to rant.
