So basically I (21f) has a sister(19f) we usually get along really well , I share most of my stuff with her from my makeup , skin care , clothes to jewellery . Even the things I don’t share with her , I make sure to get it for her . Like I hate sharing my books so if she wants to read something I usually just buy it for her . There’s just one thing I usually say to her and that is if I buy something for myself I have to wear it first . That’s all . After I have worn it first , she can use it however she likes . She doesn’t always respect it though. Even something I explicitly ask her to not use , she use it behind my back . I usually just let it go . But what happened is that she bought some clothes recently. And there was this one top I liked and I thought of wearing it for the day , again it’s not unusual for us since we do wear each other’s clothes a lot . But she saw me asked me to put it back since she didn’t buy it for me to wear indoors , I looked at her and said that I lend you my stuff all the time , and she simply said yeah but she doesn’t want to lend me hers so I respected it and put it away but I didn’t like it . So I out of pettiness I also asked her to not wear any of my newer clothes. I still let her use my other stuff and I even bought her skin care but whenever she tried to wear my clothes, I denied . I just wanted her to know that I am not a pushover . But well yesterday I got some new clothes and as soon as I unpacked it . She tried to wear one of the shorts , again I clearly told her to not touch it since it’s new and she put it away but today I woke up and she was already ready for the day , wearing the same shorts I asked her not to wear . Usually I just let it go but today I asked her to change out of it . She thought I was joking and started to just went about her day but then I sternly asked her to change out of it . She got all teary eyed and went to change , I felt like a jerk so I sent my niece to tell her that it’s fine she can still wear it , just don’t do it again . But she already changed out of it and now is not talking to me . Which is fine I am not expecting her to talk to me nicely after what I just did . But I am feeling really guilty that I made her cry over something so stupid .
