Sitting in the waiting room at the service department at the dealership a guy was watching videos on his phone. He had the volume on high. There were about 20 of us waiting and several people were visibly annoyed. Most people were on their phones as is normal these days. Some had listening devices of their own. I was watching as people had actually got up and moved away from him. He was oblivious to this. I simply asked him if he could turn down the volume on his phone. I told him it was disturbing others in the room. He looked at me and said how else am I supposed to listen to anything.

I had a few near me say thanks but another lady just gave me the stink eye for even speaking up. She just shook her head and went back to reading her book.

Was I wrong to ask for the volume decrease???
