Am I the asshole for euthanizing my sisters dog Without asking her? When you say it like that I sound like the asshole but I promise you there’s a story behind it. My 25F sister had been taking care of this dog my parents bought her for Christmas one year. Our dad died in a car crash the next year and mother got paralyzed from the waist down. My sister was only 13 at the time and she used her dog as emotional support, but recently it’s been going a little too far. Our mother recently got Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and had been in and out of the hospital recently. Medical bills are crazy right now and doctors don’t think she’s going to live much longer. My sister has been very depressed since our dad died and has been treating her dog like shit. She is so focused everything else going on she always forgets to feed the dog, there’s dog poop all over the floors and the dog is getting old and is clearly struggling and starving. I’ve told her she needs to put it down multiple time and she won’t listen. So I took it into my own hands and euthanized the dog, I used my own money and my sister was devastated when she found out AITAH?
