I (18F) have been together with my boyfriend (20) for almost a year, lately he's been very distant, ignoring my texts and calls, last week I tried pranking him by texting him "I saw you kissing another girl" he got defensive and started interrogating me about this girl, when I said it was a prank he looked relived.

We frequent the same church and yesterday a friend of his (a girl) was with us, they were being so touchy with each other, kissing on the cheeks and hugging, they were even more close than me and him usually are, and I felt so invisibile and jealous, he didn't even try hiding how close they were and justified it with "were just friends" so now I feel like I just overreacted.

So am i the asshole for feeling like this?

EDIT: quick edit but thanks to you guys I found the courage to talk with him, he explained that the girl was his grieving cousin and told me that the reason he's been distant is because he's trying to focus on his future so he asked me to get a break from each other
