I was going to go on a bachelorette with some friends but we couldn’t coordinate a date and in all honesty I didn’t feel like going anyway. So I booked a weekend for myself at a lovely hotel for a staycation 2 days ago as a spontaneous treat. My fiance (28M)and I (26F) are currently in a semi- long distance relationship (2 hours apart). Yesterday we had a big argument about something wedding related and didn’t really speak for the rest of the day. Today we were tentatively speaking but we haven’t debriefed yet about our argument. He just called me now after finishing work late and asked what I’m up to and I told him and he said oh I’ll come and join you. I said oh it was staycation for myself and I wanted to do some work whilst I’m here.. and he was like awww but it’ll be nice to spend some time together, I’ll get to you by around midnight (it’s currently 10pm here and it’s a 2 hour drive for him), I said sure fine okay. I mean.. it’ll be nice to spend time together but in all honesty I wanted to have some alone me time and he’s just taken it over and is coming along here
