I know the title sounds bad and if I only read that I would say yes in a heartbeat too but BEAR WITH ME.

I (22F) have a roomate, we'll call her Anna (23F). We're renting an apartment together because neither of us are from the city and the area around college is quite expensive to live at. We've been living together for a year and a few months now and we've never had any major issues, we solve everything talking and I like to think we actually get along really well even if we're not friends.

My boyfriend, we'll call him Alex (22M), and I have been dating for two years now. The thing is we're long distance, not a few states away distance but literally countries away distance. I went to visit him last year for our first anniversary so he came over for our second one, which coincidentally was during a two week break I had in college.

He stayed for 10 days. I talked with Anna before he even bought the tickets, I asked her if she was okay with him staying and she was super sweet about it and said she didn't have any issues with it. I think it's relevant to say Anna and my cousin (22M) are dating, he comes over constantly and I don't really mind it.

Anyways, Alex came over and the first days it was mostly fine, Anna was visiting her parents during the weekend so she wasn't here.

Alex was actually a really good guest, cleaned up after himself, did the dishes, etc. He was super worried about not making Anna uncomfortable, especially because we were speaking in english the whole time (I live in a spanish-speaking country and Anna doesn't speak english very well). We spend most of our time in my room or out.

The thing is, one day Anna went out with her friends (she's usually out the whole day when this happens) so Alex and I had sex because we were alone. I didn't notice when Anna got home, but apparently it was earlier than usual and she heard us. I also want to say that we weren't being loud, it's an apartment so I didn't want the neighbours complaining or anything, it was just normal sex noise.

Alex went back home two days ago and yesterday Anna told me we needed to talk. She said she had been okay with him staying because she didn't "knew he was like that" (I don't really know what she meant), that we were both super disrespectful by speaking english knowing she doesn't understand it (I honestly don't know why she would want to hear our couple talk, plus Alex doesn't know Spanish) and of course she brought up the fact that she heard us have sex. I've heard her and her boyfriend multiple times (they don't even check if I'm home sometimes) and she only heard me and Alex because she got home early so I didn't get why it was such a big deal. But she's saying Alex is no longer welcome here and that I should apologise for being disrespectful.

Am I really the asshole here? On one side I feel like I didn't do anything wrong, but in the other side I feel really bad for making her uncomfortable
