My (33M) gf (28F) has pretty much had her entire life handed to her.

We got into the argument over the weekend. I live in an apartment and I work hard but I have student loans and a crap load of stuff that I have to pay for. I'm not on the verge of homelessness but I'm not delusional either. One mess up and I would be.

She has always been straight A student. She went to college on a grant and a few scholarships so she never had to take out a loan. She got her job straight out of school and was immediately making 6 figures.

I'm not saying she didn't work for that she worked hard for her degree and is insanely smart but she didn't have the normal college experience of paying out the ass and being in debt up to her eyeballs.

She bought her house from her uncle. She only paid 50k for it. The house was a fixer upper she basically had to gut it and start over but it's a block house so that's pretty easy to do. It's 4 bed and 2 1/2 bath. She probably put maybe another 40K into it to get it in shape. This house is on 5 acres and has a fairly decent sized swimmable creek on it. The house and property are probably worth half a million sitting as it is now. She hasn't even paid 100K for it.

During the house argument I brought up how she never had to pay anything for college and immediately got a good job paying way more than what most people make.

I'm not saying it's her fault just saying most people aren't given that privilege.

She basically took it as me saying she doesn't deserve everything she has and didn't work for everything she has. Now she is pissed and told me if I don't like it I can find someone else " less privileged" and told me there's the door basically.
