I, 23f got my wisdom teeth out yesterday, and my whole mouth has been infected from food getting stuck in two different mouth wholes/pockets prior to the surgery. Needless to say, Iām having a bad week.
My boyfriend and I donāt live together. He worked today and told me to let me know if I need anything, he works just down the street so heād bring me anything I need. I told him Iām fine, but thank you.
My friend Eric was messaging me today, asking me how the recovery is going, how my mouth is, etc. He asked me what Iāve eaten today, and I said I havenāt eaten yet. I tried to eat some leftover Mac and cheese but it wasnāt doing it for me.
He said āIām going to get and bring you food, where has food you can eat and what can I get youā Eric isnāt really the type to take no for an answer (in a helpful way not a creepy way) so I just told him soup from Panera. I rarely accept help from others so yeah, he knows Iāll just say Iām fine even if Iām not.
He brought me soup, and I posted a picture of him with my soup on my Snapchat. My family members follow me and like to look at how Iām doing. Itās an easy way for me to update everyone at once sorta. Iāve had a million questions from my family about how Iām doing, with the infection and surgery and all.
My boyfriend saw this and was upset that I let my friend bring me food. He said why didnāt I tell him I want food, and ask him to bring me food. I told him I didnāt ask Eric to bring me food, he just insisted and I agreed. I donāt really see the big deal, Iāve been kinda high off pain meds and my whole mouth hurts. I just agreed to what was insisted.
Heās been kind of cold with me the last few hours, and has insisted that Iām the asshole here, and that I shouldnāt let anyone else take care of me.
I donāt really get it. AITAH?
