Basically I graduate Friday from college and I will be spending some time with her Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday for commencement and brunch with my brother.

My mother is in recovery from drinking and has been four months sober but I told her Friday night I’m gonna go get drinks with friends Friday as that will be the last time I see them for at least a very long time. Bear in mind she’s near sixty and me and my friends are in our early twenties.

Anyways, over the phone, she seemed upset when I told her that I was trying to hangout alone with my friends because we drink a lot and do other things as well, and there is always an after party. Sooo AITAH??
