My wife and I work from home. Today she had to go into the office while I worked at home. Last night we changed the sheets on our bed and we rolled up the dirty sheets and put them on the floor near the dirty clothes hamper so that one of us would take them to the laundry room. Normally we do this immediately after changing the sheets, but for whatever reason we didn’t. Today my wife got home from the office and in an urgent and aggressive tone similar to how she would talk to our kids said to me “nobody put the sheets in the laundry room?!” I was kind of taken aback because this doesn’t happen, plus her tone and the assumption that just because I was working from home I would have done it. I was completely busy with work and didn’t even think about it, but I’m sure it would’ve gotten done by one of us today or tonight after work. To her question I replied that I was working just like she was and if this was so urgent she could have asked me to do It.
Just at that time I had a few things to do, so I thought to myself that I’d do it when I’m good and ready, especially after that odd episode. I proceeded to take my son to training, and as I was leaving she was watching tv. I come home and she’s watching TV. I have 30 minutes to walk our two dogs and immediately go back to pick up my son from training and then take him to practice at another location. I get back from doing each of these things and immediately do the next thing, each time my wife is sitting in the living room watching TV. I can just as easily assume she would do it vs watching tv this whole time. So my question is AITAH for not putting the sheets in the laundry room until I am good and ready to do so?
