My gf was in a car accident while on the way to see me. When the accident happened she called me to tell me and she was a bit out of it and just said that he has to figure things out with the driver. When I asked if I should come to her or meet her somewhere she said no and that it was okay. She said no one got hurt so I just waited for her to get back to me. She went to sleep when she got home so I message she the following day checking in with her.

She didn’t say much and for days things were fine until yesterday she tells me she was upset because she was shocked I didn’t come to see her yet. And that I didn’t just stop be to visit to check in. And that although she had said no to not inconvenience me, she didn’t think I’d actually not go.

I thought she really wanted time alone. So AITAH for not seeing her after the accident.
