I work as an icu nurse and I am currrently preparing for crna school ( Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist ).

It is the highest paid nursing field. So some other nurses tried to shame for this and even pointed out that I am being greedy for wanting more money. They also blamed my greed for the American medical system.

For me, this field means buying a home easily, retiring earlier, and saving well for my future kids. I know i can make up to 300k easily per year. Also working hours are sane.

So I told them to blame our medical system and I am not responsible for that. I told them that their jealousy isn't my concern.

Now they are ignoring me beyond work and I am fine with it. But I am having self doubts .
