My wife always falls asleep during meal service. I wake her up when the food is coming but she always falls back asleep.

This time I couldn’t physically reach her. The table was set and I was buckled in. I tried calling her name but she didn’t budge. I didn’t want to shout her name and disturb the other passengers. I threw a pillow at her. She woke up startled. I felt bad. it probably looked bad to be throwing pillows on the plane and I felt ashamed to be acting this way in public especially on the plane.

She found the option on the in flight entertainment screen to wake her for meals.

the next time meal time came around I woke her up when the flight attendants were coming. But my wife fell asleep again. I ate my meal and then she woke up mid meal and was upset that I didn’t wake her up nor the flight attendants. I told her I did wake her up but she fell back asleep. She was mad the whole rest of the flight. She even asked the flight attendant why they didn’t wake her up for meals like she requested on screen and the attendant calmly replied that she was sleeping.

Was I in the wrong here?
