I (23 female ) live with another female roommate, let’s call her Hailey(19). We are fairly new to this apartment, and recently have began to invite people over to hang out. Our apartment is set up a little different, my roommate has a bathroom in her room (the master) and my bathroom is in the hallway separate from my bedroom. My roommate Hailey has been inviting her friends over, which I don’t really mind. They’re usually only here for a little bit before they go out and do something else. However, the past two times she has invited her friends over, they have been using my bathroom without Hailey asking me. Mind you, I have not been notified said friends are coming over in the first place, I find out by just hearing them come in the front door, and both people who have used my bathroom I have never met before. The first instance was a man walking into my room while I’m watching television thinking it was my bathroom. I then hear him go into my bathroom and use it. (They are actually using my bathroom rn LOL) The second time was today, hence the post, I hear someone go into my bathroom so I decide to go out and see who is here, and it’s a girl coming out of my bathroom I have never met before. They then introduce me to her. I go red in the face, as I realize I had left my dirty clothes, underwear out and everything from my shower just an hour ago. While I don’t care when my friends use my bathroom, it’s just a little bit different for me for two reasons. 1. I am prepared for people to possibly be using my bathroom so I like to deep clean it before or at least not leave my underwear on the floor. 2. It’s my friends so I don’t really care as much as random strangers. I also wouldn’t call myself a clean freak, but I do deep clean a lot and I don’t usually use public bathrooms, it just freaks me out. I haven’t talked to my roommate about this yet because I can’t tell if I am overreacting. I get that my bathroom is more accessible to guests, but I just feel super uncomfortable without being asked first, but again idk if I’m being dramatic. HELP!😭 #roommate
