TLDR

My mother (46F) is already delusional enough to wear her rose tinted contacts by not leaving my narcissistic father (49M) who she believes that she can "fix" or can change someday when he's never done that besides get sober from alcohol abuse because he didn't want to die. He might as well still he taking dr*gs I don't know. She knows how awful he is just as a person but still wants to be with him and is getting what she expects, not what she deserves because no one deserves to be abused.

She even still lets my Ndad cuss and yell at her kids and usually does nothing besides sit there. I feel so neglected by her at times even though she's the one who's taken care of us while he sat there and drank with his awful friends that also like to beat and scream at women

Leaving him is way easier said than done I get it but she's obviously is an enabler who's definitely a downright coward. Always has the audacity to say "I don't know what you want me to do I can't throw him in jail."

But back to the matter at hand, our conversation started out with talking about pmsing and then it turned into an argument despite me not wanting to start one with her by saying "I don't believe that." Or "I don't want to get into that." Because she tried saying that women aren't supposed to pms because of our food and soil getting poisoned or some conspiracy theory bullshit that she wanted to shove down my throat by literally yelling at me saying "THAT'S A FACT! THAT'S A FACT!" I then tried changing the subject by asking her where the turkey was because I wanted to make a bagel sandwich and she made a smartass remark saying "It's in the fridge, look in there and maybe you'll believe that!" And then slammed the door.

Micro plastics, climate change and the FDA getting rid of harmful dyes are all a real thing with tons of proof and sources supporting their claims that I believe but I also believe what she was saying was just a dumb conspiracy theory she found out about from Gaia or something that my Ndad also watches with her because they're both deluded and probably deserve each other at the end of the day because of that lmao. Even though I think they need a divorce asap. I still love my mom but she's acting like a retarded nutcase
