📝 AITAH for purchasing all of the mis-marked steaks at BJs that were insanely cheap and refusing to share a few when asked by another shopper.

Pretty self explanatory, I was shopping at BJs when I saw 4packs (12oz each) of NY Strips marked as "Beef for Stew" at $4.99 a pound. Normally they are $11.99 a pound. The 4 packs were about $15 /16 each.

There were 11 of them in the case. I grabbed 10 of them, the one I left had fatty steaks and didn't look good. There was a lady behind me looking at other steaks and saw me grab 10 of the NY Strips. She saw the remaining one and asked if there were more and I said I didn't know and went off to finish my shopping.

Looks like she asked someone if they had more out back and when they brought out more the steaks were marked correctly. The meat guy said that the store has to honor the mismarked price, but it was obviously done in error.

She actually came looking for me and kinda asked /demanded that I give her a couple of them. I told her no and went on my way to check out and leave. She had a couple of choice words, greedy being one and asshole being the other for me but I ignored her and left. To be totally honest, even if she was nice about it, I still was not going to share.

And before anyone asks, I vacuum sealed the 40 steaks and put them in my chest freezer.

The wife was fine with the savings but said it was a little douchey of me not to toss her 2 packs at least.

So am I the asshole for grabbing the all of the mismarked steaks?
