My sister (29F) was in a really bad relationship with someone who was controlling manipulative and emotionally abusive. It took her a long time to get out of it and I was there for her every step of the way. She always said she’d never settle for someone like that again.

Now, she’s engaged to someone new, but honestly I see the same red flags. Her fiancée is just as manipulative, but it’s more subtle. She makes snide comments puts my sister down in little ways and I’m seeing her fall into the same patterns again.

I told my sister that I can’t support the wedding if she goes through with it. She blocked me, and now the whole family is upset with me saying I’m ruining her happiness.
