📝 AITAH for refusing to lend my car to my sister even though she “really needs it”?

So, here’s the situation: I (29M) have a car that I use every day for work and other stuff. My sister (24F) recently asked if she could borrow it for a week because her car is in the shop. She said it’s “really important” since she has some things to take care of and doesn’t want to rely on public transport.

I told her I’m not comfortable lending it out for that long since I need it daily and I’m worried about potential damage or accidents. I offered to help her find a rental or give her rides when I can, but she got upset and said I’m being selfish and that family should help each other out.

I understand where she’s coming from, but I also feel like it’s my responsibility to take care of my own stuff, especially something as valuable as a car. Plus, I don’t want to risk any issues if something happens while she’s driving it.

its driving me crazy rn :(
