I (F22, South Asian) met a 27M Spanish guy on Hinge two months ago. We stayed as friends as we were not looking for things in particular. So fast forward to two days ago, we hung out on one park and it was a very sunny day. He said something like oh you won’t get burnt because you already are burnt, referring to my brown skin color. I didn’t say anything at that time as I was processing that hurtful comment.

A day ago, I decided to delete his number and remove him from all my socials.

I just felt very violated and I don’t know whether I did the right thing. The guy has autism since five years old but honestly neurodivergent behavior shouldn’t be an excuse for a racist remark.

What are your thoughts on it?
