So me (25F) and my boyfriend (27M) been living together in Brooklyn for like 8 months now. Things been mostly smooth, but lately I been noticing he real... particular about money. Like, mad particular.

Anyway, last week we ordered pizza. He got a personal pie, I got pasta. I took one slice of his pie, he literally watched me eat it like I stole the crown jewels. Didn’t say anything in the moment.

Next morning I get a Venmo request. $4.27. Label: “1 slice + tax.”

I laughed and thought he was being funny. I even commented “LOL you petty” and ignored it.

Tell me why this man comes to me LATER that day, dead serious, asking why I didn’t pay him yet. I was like, “Bro. It was a slice. That YOU offered me.” He goes, “It’s not about the money, it’s about principle.”

So I snapped and said, “Honestly, you don’t act like my man, you act like my roommate who hates me.”

Now he’s mad, saying I disrespected him and made him feel “used.” Meanwhile, I’m feeling like I just got invoiced for breathing his air.

My girls say he’s nuts, but his friends say I’m ungrateful and don’t respect boundaries.

So what’s up Reddit, AITAH or should I just start Venmo requesting him every time I fold his laundry or pick up his 3 in 1 shampoo from Duane Reade??
