This is quite straight forward: I have been with my girlfriend for over a year now, and my parents have always wanted to know when I lost my virginity and I was always open with them regarding my personal life. Now, it’s not like I’m a fully grown adult living on my own, I am an 18 year old senior in high school. So like a month or so after losing my virginity I told my parents through text. They took it perfectly fine. But one day, my girlfriend went through my phone and saw the messages I sent my parents. I also have previously told her that I’m very open regarding my personal life with my parents and that they’d want to know if I had lost my virginity. So, upon reading the messages, my girlfriend got very mad with me and kicked me out of her bed. Am I in the wrong for telling my parents? Should I have spoken with her more in detail before telling them? My parents are also very chill and don’t make things weird, so it’s not like they’d look at her any differently.
