Last weekend I (19F) went to the lake with my boyfriend (26M) and a bunch of his friends. I wore a bikini I bought recently - it’s not super tiny or anything, just high-waisted bottoms and a cute top that ties in the front. I even wore shorts over it when we arrived.

Everything was chill at first. We were swimming, playing volleyball, just having fun. But later, I noticed my boyfriend being weird and kinda distant. On the drive back he finally said he didn’t like “how much attention” I was getting and that I should’ve worn something more “respectful.”

I was honestly shocked. I didn’t even do anything besides exist in a swimsuit at a lake. His friends didn’t say anything, no one was being creepy. I said he was overreacting and he got mad and said I “knew what I was doing.”

I don’t think I did anything wrong? I liked the bikini, I felt confident in it for once, and it wasn’t even that revealing. I mean I don’t think I looked that bad in it tbh... you can kinda get the vibe.
