I totally understand it required a shit ton of effort, but what I have a hard with is “raising a child” is such a loose term, I think you can still raise a child and be shitty toward your kid, and so I find it difficult to give these parents praise and recognition for strictly “raising their child” But let me know if I’m being an asshole and why
