Hi reddit, I need some "strangers on the internet"-opinions please. My neighbours have a daughter. We grew up together. She got married to an awesome men, got kids and moved away, but visits regularly. I really like them all. They are that kind of people, everybody feels drawn to and wants to spend time with. Whenever they visit, I try to see them. They say, they enjoy my company. But it's always me, who asks to spend time or who looks out for them. They always make plans with other people, never with me. I'm the one for the spontanious free time fill ins. I have waited quite some evenings, because they said, they might eventually call to hang out. Pathetic, i know... A few days ago, the visited again and I asked, if we would hang out in the evening. The husband said yes, if the kids and the wife's headache would allow them. So I waited... Later that evening I heared them hanging out with their parents/inlaws and other neighbours. I feel, I have been stood up, but they do not see it that way, since they did not invite the neighbours (her parents did). I think, that is irrelevant. I got really angry and let them know. So....am I wrong here? What is it, that I don't see? Thanks for your pov!
