Here’s the short story. My son (3) is prone to flea bites. I know this because he gets them at his dad’s house. I stop him sleeping over, and then when I let him go back it happens again.

When I ask how he used the house treatments (one that I know works) and he said he only did his room. Which I said is pointless. Do it again and do the whole house, then the excuse was it’s toxic and smells strong. I tried to tell him he’s not a flea and it won’t kill him, he just doesn’t seem to believe me.

When our son isn’t allowed to stay at his dad’s for this issue he only sees him five hours a week, & his dad seems fine with that.

AITA for saying care about him enough to sort the house out, or you’re not seeing him at all?

He seems perfectly fine living in an infested house and he’s just resigned himself to the fact of “hey ho, this is my life now” Because he says it’s just me wanting to get my own way which is our son to stay at his house once a week and so I can have a night of rest… when really, I want my son to see his dad without getting eaten alive.
