I fully realize that some people have a hard time reading social cues but I am seriously at my wits end with the yapping. This girl sits directly across from me so I am first in line for conversation. I myself have ADHD and find it hard to stay focused with the constant talking. She's the type of person who can talk for ten minutes straight without a breath, turns everything anyone else says into a story about herself. At this point I've heard about her mother's sister's boyfriend's ex cousin in law twice removed along with names and details about each family member along the way. On top of the endless talking she has the most irritating vocal fry and it takes everything in me not to say "land the plane" when she's in the middle of a pointless story. No matter how little interest I show, how minimal my eye contact is... SHE KEEPS TALKING.
I am exhausted and borderline irritated with the amount she talks. She has been talked to about this before because it genuinely is distracting but this doesn't stop her. I come in to work every morning with headphones in, RBF on and she still is not deterred. I feel like I am in some Hell loop every single day having to listen to her drone on about the most random things. Today it was a ten minute story about her half birthday...
I am aware that some people have stuff going on a home/mentally/emotionally/etc that enable the excessive talking, this is not that. She knows she's a yapper, she's admitted it. Am I the asshole for thinking if you see someone's eyes glazing over and they're on their 6th "that's crazy" you should probably stop talking?!
