Hi, my fiancé 38M and I 36F have been together 5 years. I recently learned that he is having expensive dinners with a “platonic friend” for some time now and I didn’t know about any of it. Sometimes he’ll go with two friends but I learned he’s gone out alone with this platonic friend a few times. They are nice restaurants or wine bars. I found texts between them arranging the plans, which is how I found out. But he never told me about any of it. How do I confront him about this, and am I overreacting? He only takes me out on certain holidays and my birthday, but anytime I want to try a new restaurant he says it’s too expensive.
