📝 Gambling gone wrong?

So my wife and myself had a nice date night at a local casino and did some gambling afterwards. Backstory: our bank accounts are shared. Money isn’t tight, but we’re not rich by any stretch.

We had dinner first and dinner came out to around $80 after tip. After dinner we went to gamble and I gave my wife $100 bill to put into the a machine and on the first machine we cashed out for $320 ($220 profit plus the og 100). She was excited and ready to go to the next machine. I decided that we should only play with house money. We weren’t playing separately. We sat together and played one machine so I felt that “we” won the money.

So I took the ticket and cashed it. I took $200 (og 100 plus $80 for dinner plus $20 to say we still won just in case we lost the other money) and gave her the remaining money. Her face and demeanor just went south quick. She said “I won the money, I should get to decide what we do with it”. I told her “no, we just got free dinner and let’s just play with our winnings. That way if we lose it, it’s nbd”

The rest of the night she was grouchy and in a bad mood and (of course) we lost the money that we were up on the casino. She asked for the other money and when I said No she just rushed to the car and imo ruined the rest of the night.

AITAH for putting away money we won to cover our expenses and not giving her the full amount that “She won”
