My husband started a new medication a few months ago. I need to add, this medication was ELECTIVE and medically unnecessary. It’s purely for aesthetics... Some of the side effects of the medication are “increased anxiety, increased feelings of anger and frustration.” My husband is a very kind, gentle human. Silly me thought “oh I don’t need to worry about this! I’m more worried about the nausea and vomiting aspect..” etc for him.

Lo and behold, weeks later my husband is changed. Everything sets him off. Small things, medium things, big things. Tonight was our biggest blowout. He called me useless, and told me I was a bitch. This was because I suggested he do something different with our kids who were both screaming their heads off while I was showering.

I’m not sure where to go from here. It’s his body, his choice. But his choice is clearly turning him into the worst version of himself and it’s not necessary medication. Should I give him an ultimatum to stop, or a threat that if he doesn’t stop taking it, we’ll have bigger issues? AITA?
