I'm going to preface this by saying that I'm not some deranged serial killer in the making nor do I lack empathy.

That being said, my cat caught a bird and brought it home to us. My husband wanted to let the poor seriously injured bird outside to try to survive but I wanted my cat to finish what she started. My position is that the bird has a slim chance of survival and will suffer more out there and letting our cat finish her job will be a quicker way for the bird to go. I know it sucks but that's how nature is, unfortunately.
