so technically this isn’t an aitah but more of a would i be the asshole and this is kinda long sorry but anyways me and three of my friends, let’s call them A, B, and C, have been planning to be a prom group and we’ve been planning it for like a month and a half now. but the other day my closest friend in the friend group (A) said that one of her friends from another school (who i’m kinda friends with and lets call her D) was gonna go to her schools prom with a group but they ditched her and so she wasn’t going anymore. A asked me if i would mind D coming to our prom because of this and i was a bit iffy but said she could come because i felt bad and it wouldn’t hurt anyone (idk why she asked for my permission but it’s wtv) so now we have a group chat with me A B C & D. D says that she has a dress but she WORE IT TO HER PROM? i was confused bc i thought she was going but i just assumed she went alone and was like eh it’s whatever. anyways she doesn’t wanna wear the dress she wore to her prom to ours and im like??? who tf cares??? but then B offered to show D some of her dresses and said they can talk abt it later. then skip to now, and i find out on D’s insta story that she literally had a group of 7 PEOPLE! literally a bigger group than ours currently. and she looked like she had an amazing time too sooo. so i’m kinda upset with both A & D bc either D lied to A or A & D lied to me 😶. so would i be the asshole if i confronted A about how D wasn’t alone and if she wanted to come she could have just said that and not given a sob story? or should i just suck it up and move on?
